100 years of #votes for (some) #Women
Today marks the 100th anniversary of the passing of the 'Representation of the People Act', giving women aged over 30 (and all men) the right to vote.
If the Yes We Do Websites team were around 100 years ago (unlikely, I don't think many people had a requirement for websites back then) this would have been great news for Mike and Eleanor - who would like to point out she is only just 30 *ahem* - and Sarah.
However, Morgan, Joan and Grace would still have a few years protesting for the right to vote, with women aged between 21-29 able to vote for the first time on 30th May 1929.
Thank you Suffragettes, Suffragists and continuing campaigners for Equality. Let's keep it going!
